This was the third time I’ve stayed at Westbrook with my friend and we haven’t been able to fault it. Friendly and helpful hosts, a great breakfast, a spotlessly clean and meticulously maintained guest house and a comfortable, quietroom with a fridge and other little touches such as fresh milk for the coffee in your room and good quality toiletries which give the impression that the hosts really care about their guests. Perfect 😍

Excellent B&B. Our twin room was very good ,clean , comfortable and well equipped with tea coffee,mini fridge ,small safe. Shower was very good. Breakfast was also good freshly cooked.Location is also good only a short walk to the see front and can easily walk into the town centreLimited parking at rear of property but also free road parking at front. We visit Torbay area every year to visit family and would have no hesitation in staying here again.

The Westbrook hosts, David and Nikki, provide a fantastic B&B experience in their beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean establishment in Torquay.A great night's sleep under crisp, fresh linen, rounded off in the morning by a fresh pot of delicious coffee and a fine breakfast.I wish I'd been in town for longer, but at least now I know where to stay next time I'm in the area.

My sister and I stayed for 3 nights visiting family in Torquay. The Guesthouse is ideally placed. A short walk to the sea front or the town centre. It was beautifully clean and fresh. Every effort was made to make us feel comfortable. Little touches in our room that you certainly do not get in larger hotels. Breakfast was first class and David and his wife were just lovely. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

We had stayed at the Westbrook twice before and really enjoyed it. We found out at short notice it had changed hands and were a little anxious. We had no need to be. The new owners, David and Nikki were fabulous hosts. The hotel is essentially the same, but David and Nikki could not be more welcoming. Every morning at breakfast he would ask us about our day or where we had eaten and was genuinely interested. We would highly recommend this B&B and will definitely be coming back next year.

Came back to the Westbrook as we do in August.Always loved stopping with John & Marie but this time they had left.It is now owned by Dave & Nikki and there need not be any doubts about the stay as they are lovely people.They make you very welcome and everything is clean and comfy, as usual, with a great breakfast.I would certainly recommend this B&B to anyone.We will certainly be back next year.

We had a lovely stay. Westbrook was immaculately clean and very comfortable. The hosts went out of their way to be helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The fridge in the room with fresh milk provided was a welcome bonus. We would definitely visit again.

Decided on a five day break to the English Rivieria.We had beautiful weather, the guest house was immaculate, food was perfect. Nothing was to much trouble, my toasted cheese on toast with tin tomatoes was the best. Thank you to the hosts John and Maria, you were super great. The guest house was ideally situated to buses, trains and a 10 to 20 minute walk to the prom and harbour, restaraunt and bars. The hole in the wall pub recommended by John is the oldest in Torquay, the food is outstanding. We ate twice there.Will definitely recommend to friends, family and we will most certainly return to the Westbrook.

The place is nice and the room that we book supposed to be the small room but the owner put us in a bigger room.They were so kind,cleanliness can’t complain,breakfast was amazing.We would stay there again next time we visit Torquay.

We had a lovely stay at the Westbrook thanks to our great hosts John and Marie. They went out of their way to ensure we had an enjoyable visit, including a free room upgrade and accommodating an extra night as we wanted to stay even longer! The room was very clean and we appreciated the extra touches such as a fridge stocked with milk and water on arrival. The hot breakfast menu was varied and perfectly cooked everyday supported by a good choice of cereals, yoghurts and drinks. An excellent stay and we would definitely return

John and Marie are perfect hosts. The rooms are exactly the same as the photos. The breakfast is amazing with choices to suit everyone. There is a very warm friendly welcome .It is the best guest house we have ever stayed in anywhere. We have stayed 3 times now and are already going to book again for next year. I would reccomend this beautiful guest house to anyone .

We enjoyed a week at the Westbrook Guest House in Torquay. We had stayed once before and the hosts, Marie and John remembered us and we felt at home the minute we stepped through the door. We remembered the cleanliness from our previous stay, if anything, it seemed cleaner, in fact, spotless. The rooms are well appointed with TV, tea and coffee and a fridge. The bed was really comfortable too. The breakfast every morning had all you would want, cereal, toast, croissants, juice, tea, coffee, yoghurt, full English breakfast or various combinations, or breakfast sandwiches. It's in a nice spot, just off the main road so the traffic noise is not excessive and it's just a short walk from the town. Marie and John are lovely hosts, they love to get to know you and you cannot help but like them. We enjoyed it so much we have already asked them to make a reservation for next year and we can't wait to go back. We'll done!

We had a lovely 4 night stay at The Westbrook. The room was lovely and clean, and really nice decor. Everything looked like new! The breakfast each morning was great!!! Clean plates every morning. The hosts were a lovely couple, and were helpful with anything to see in Torquay. It was a perfect stay and we will definitely be back!

We went to Torquay for a 3 night 4 day stay and found this little gem of a Guesthouse online. It didn’t let us down, we had the warmest and friendliest of welcome by the owners John and Maria. The guesthouse is like home from home, lovely comfortable rooms, fabulous decor all the way through the place and extremely clean. Breakfast was beautiful, good choice of food on the menu, freshly cooked and piping hot. It’s also the little things that make this guesthouse a gem, things that you may have forgotten to pack like face wipes, cotton wool, earbuds etc that are provided. When you have your menu left for the following morning we had a couple of chocolates left, tic tacs. It’s little touches like this that make a difference, Nothing is too much trouble for John and Maria, very informative on places to go and just very friendly. Staying here was a perfect location for everything we had planned. Our stay in Torquaywas definitely made better by staying in such a lovely guesthouse. Clean twin bedded room. We are fit in health so had no problems using the shower but we felt the shower ought to have non slip floor and small safety rail in the wall to hold onto if you want to wash your lower legs or feet.

You could of asked for a shower mat if needed butthis review sounds like you are disabled which you certainty didn\\\'t seen so ? the shower cubicleisn\\\'t big enough for a rail on the wall maybe on your next visit where ever you go you should book accommodationwith a disabled room!

Warm and friendly couple. A slight problem over our breakfast booking which they sorted out for us.Next morning breakfast we were glad we had booked it. It was well cooked and plentiful. Plenty of options on menu. Cereals and toast available to serve yourself as well as limitless tea and coffee. Only thing we would have changed was the duvet which was heavy and lumpy.

The welcome from Marie & John was super friendly, we arrived a little early, we pulled up to the car-park and Marie was outside who suggested we could check in early if we wanted so that was brilliant from the start.In our room there was a wardrobe, chest of drawers, a fridge with milk in waiting for us, there is tea/coffee/hot chocolate sachet's in the room with the kettle and sugar, sweetener and if you use the milk, Marie & John were more than happy to replenish the milk bottle in your fridge, nothing was too much trouble for them.Also the bathroom had a loo, hand basin and shower cubicle, there was little homely touches which were lovely, a jar of cotton pads, a flannel with an embroidered label 'Make Up Remover' so guests could use that, there was also a packet of body/face wipes in bathroom along with shampoo, shower gel and hand-wash.During our stay, they made us feel welcome, clearly explaining the way things are done with the breakfast and the time slots etc due to covid, to maintain social distancing throughout the breakfast time, we were given a form to tick boxes for what we wanted for breakfast, this was a daily thing incase you changed your mind.Breakfast choice was again fantastic, cereal, toast with butter & jam, yoghurt, juices and tea/coffee.The dining room was well spaced out and spotlessly clean, you help yourself to the above and then Marie brings your chosen breakfast out to you, the full English was delicious, looked forward to it every morning.During the day when we were out Marie or John would change the bin bags (even though they didnt need changing) and replenish any of the items we used, tea/coffee/hot chocolate sachets etc....Marie and John are so friendly and accommodating, we couldn't have asked for a better service or welcome.We have already booked to go back in July, already looking forward to it.I have recommended this guest house to friends and while we stayed there, we took a card from the entrance hall to put in our purse and we ended up giving them to people we started talking to when we were out and we have also given them to our friends.We highly recommend this guest house, it is everything you need and more and we look forward to our next stay.

The room was light and airy with thoughtful finishes.The tea tray was well stocked and there was even a mini fridge in the room for the complimentary fresh milk. The location is great. They are a genuine, friendly couple who do everything to make your stay perfect. We can't wait to come back.

What can I say but ,give John and Marie praise for a lovely stay at there lovely B&B.John and Marie are lovely people always got time for a chat at breakfast or anytime if there around even though John can talk the hind leg off a donkey,but in a nice way t was nice having a chat at breakfast,both were knowledgeable of places to eat and places to visit .The breakfast was plentiful and a great choice which was nice , bedrooms clean and fresh due to COVID unable to come into rooms but that’s not a problem if you needed anything you just had to ask and it would be left outside your room or given to you at breakfast.The location is excellent just a nice stroll into the harbour..I will recommend the Westbrook 100% a place to stay.Marie&John or really nice people who run a lovely place to stay.Thanks for a lovely stay to the both of you we will be back Im sureAlex & Vivienne .Sheffield

The hosts were excellent and nothing was too much for them. The room was spotlessly clean and I mean spotless. Who needs a bus timetable with John and Marie there to tell you what bus and where to catch it from. Breakfast was 5* and a lot of choices. Even down to my wife asking for something that wasn't even on the menu, nothing was to much trouble for them. They made us feel so welcome. They both should feel proud of their guesthouse and the way they run it.

Warm welcome on arrival.Covid 19 measures firmly in place which is very reassuring.I cannot express how clean the whole guest house is -absolutely spotless.Lovely light airy room ,bed super comfy ,flat screen tv,robes,tea & coffee facilities and fridge.Lots of additional personal touches.Perfect night sleep and as being a light sleeper is a must for myself.Lovely breakfast with plenty of choice and excellent quality.Location ideal as just a short walking distance to main town with access to buses and taxis nearby.We parked the car up for the whole of our stay.Excellent bus service.Would we stay again -yes !

We had the best long weekend staying at Westbrook, having had our wedding & honeymoon for this summer postponed, it was the little summer break we needed. The owners of Westbrook couldn’t have been more helpful and kind, always on hand if you needed anything and very knowledgeable about the local area and attractions.The room we had was perfect, spotlessly clean and very comfortable.We would highly recommend Westbrook guest house and would be sure to book there again if we return to the area!Thank you :)Scarlett & Jake

As we pulled up I noticed how clean and fresh the hotel looked checked in no problems room was nicely decorated nice and clean plenty of tea and coffee nice touch having make up wipes and ear buds in the bathroom . We had a great stay at the Westbrook. It is in a great location, just a short walk to the seafront and just a 10 minute stroll to the harbour and shops. the rooms are very comfortable and clean. everything was done to make our stay safe in these times. the breakfast was excellent we had the full English each day which was a freshly cooked treat. I would definitely go back and also recommend the Westbrook to friends and family.

A warm and welcome greeting by John and Marie awaited us on arrival. They have a beautifully cared for home and take great care in ensuring your stay with them will be home from home. Our room was super clean, fresh and airy with open windows and comfortable beds. The bathroom was exceptionally clean with fresh white towels and polished chrome, and thoughtful touches like body wash and moisturiser, make up wash cloth and cotton wall balls! Also, plenty of towel rail space too. There were plenty of sockets in the bedroom placed just where you need them, like next to mirrors and behind bedside tables. The remote control for the TV was clean and in a plastic bag. There was a mini fridge, we had brought a pint in with us, but no need - a little glass bottle of milk is provided for you, just bring it down in the morning at breakfast and they will give you a fresh one! The dining room is very clean, John was constantly wiping down surfaces in between serving and clearing away. Marie cooks an excellent breakfast, always very well presented and cooked to perfection with proper quality produce, especially the butchers bacon and sausages! Both john and Marie are excellent hosts, have time for you and look after you very well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return. Would highly recommend.

We stayed in the deluxe king suite for 4 nights during August. We were welcomed by John and Marie as soon as we got to the door and they were brilliant hosts throughout. The room was spotless and filled with all you could ever need for your stay. The guesthouse is just a short walk to the sea front and all the restaurants and nightlife you may want to visit. Alberts Bar is just across the road and I’d recommend it for a bite to eat and drink. We were lucky enough to get a parking space with them, they have 3 at the back but there is also parking at the front or many other car parks near by for a reasonable price. I’d definitely recommend The Westbrook if you want a welcoming, luxurious and comfortable stay.

Very glad that I found this little gem of a place in Devon. From start to finish it was lovely, the owners are very friendly and welcoming and cook a lovely breakfast. Rooms are very clean with lovely little touches here and there. Good walking distance to the town centre and seafront. Would stay here again!

Great BnB with 6 clean, modern, well appointed rooms, and parking. Two minute walk to the sea front. Marie and John are excellent hosts and accommodated my family at short notice for a family funeral. The cooked breakfast is excellent with plenty of options. Would definitely recommend and return when visiting the area again.

Just spent 3 amazing nights at Westbrook. John & Marie the owners were very friendly and welcoming. The Guesthouse is kept immaculate and the rooms are to a superb standard. The rooms are cleaned everyday. Breakfast is perfect to start the day with plenty of options and nothing is too much trouble. John and Marie are on hand at every opportunity. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway with minimal noise this Guesthouse is for you.

We stayed here for my Mother in Law's birthday. This is our 3rd visit. The rooms are spotless, the breakfasts amazing and the hosts lovely. When they found out it was my Mother in Law's birthday they wrote her a cad and gave her a cake - extremely thought full. We would definitely stay again. :-)

Thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay at the Westbrook. Were welcomed in by the friendly owners to a beautifully presented home. Our room was fully equipped, the breakfast was excellent and we had free off road parking. Couldn’t have wishedfor a better stay. Highly recommended.

We returned to Torquay after several years and having stayed previously at th Westbrook, we decided to rebook. Marie and John had taken it over and thoroughly and tastefully made some changes. Our room was very comfortable and clean, with little extra touches which added to our comfort. The beds were really comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious - an excellent choice of menu too. Overall a super stay and such a friendly atmosphere created by Marie and John. Would thoroughly recommend.

My girlfriend and I made a quick decision to drive from dorset to torquay for a two night stay after we had just returned from a week abroad which didnt fulfill our needs! We had a quick search online and going from the pictures of the rooms and the walking distance from the town we chose to stay at the Westbook.We booked a double room with breakfast.Upon arrival we were able to securley park our car in their private parking directly to the rear of the property.We then were greeted by the very friendly owners, Marie and John. They made us very welcome and talked us through breakfast times and where was nearby to eat as we had arrived late afternoon.We go an instant feel of quality and cleanliness. The place had a very nice fragrance throughout and luxury carperts and a bright and airy feel with the decor they have chosen.We were also very impressed with our double room. It was quaint but had all we could have wanted and more!! Fresh milk in the fridge was a nice touch along with the other little accessoires youll find in the draws and shower room.Our bed sheets were so soft and comfortable... lovely soft white cotton and a very comfortable matress and pillows. The shower was also perfect with luxury shower gels and hand lotions.For breakfast we just had to tick what we wanted on a sheet of paper and leave it in a downstairs for Marie so she can have it all freshly cooked and ready for the time you selected. You could also help yourself to tea coffee juice toast and cereals. I chose bacon, eggs on a muffin which came with grilled tomato.I cannot praise Marie enough for how well the food was cooked and how fresh the ingredients tasted! No grease on the plate from the bacon or eggs, just perfect! My girlfriend had two heated croissants with butter and jam.... she was delighted with them and had them both mornings and cereal.Marie and John were so friendy and very nice to chat to. We've never been here before but will definatly recommemd and will be back!!!!!

We couldn't fault our stay at The Westbrook, the rooms were modern and clean, the couple who run it were very friendly, breakfast was great with plenty of choice. The location was also great with only a 10-15 minute walk into town.
